About the Award

Celebrating Indigenous PM Innovation

The Powder Metallurgy Association of India (PMAI) invites nominations for the Best PM Product Award, to be conferred during the International Conference PM 27.

The purpose of the award is to recognise innovation and expertise in the field of PM materials, design and manufacturing technology.

A Best Product Award Certificate and trophy will be presented to the winners in each of the categories during the conference.

Award Categories

Four Categories, One Standard of Excellence

Awards will be declared in four categories for products developed indigenously

01

Conventional Press-Sinter PM Parts

Includes Hard Materials and Diamond Tool Parts.

02

Additive Manufacturing

Additively manufactured products and specially developed powders.

03

Metal Injection Molding & Hot Isostatic Pressing

Products made by MIM and HIP processes.

04

Innovations in PM Process Equipment

Novel equipment and tooling developed for PM processing.

Guidelines

Eligibility & Submission

Eligibility

  • The product must be developed indigenously.
  • The product should be in serial production / use (where applicable) during the past year.
  • Products still under development are not eligible.

How to Participate

  1. Send your nomination by email to director@pmai.in.
  2. Display the part with relevant details at the conference venue.
  3. Submit a short write-up covering the innovation and the thought process behind design, development and production, for the Product Award Committee.
Please note: Parts submitted along with the write-up will not be returned and will remain with the PMAI office; they may be used by PMAI in further promotional activities. The decision of the PMAI Award Committee is final and cannot be appealed against.
